What is On-Demand International Roaming service?
On-Demand Roaming is a mobile call forwarding service that allows you to forward incoming calls on your Singapore mobile to overseas number. It is a value added service under IDD1526 service and TravelCard, and will only be activated and charged as and when needed by SMS. This service will help to reduce roaming charges up to 80% as compare to if you received the calls using your Singapore mobile while in roaming. [back to top]

How do I sign up the service?
You will need to sign up IDD1526 service or purchase a TravelCard.

Is there any registration fee to this service?
No. On-Demand Roaming is a value added service when you sign up for CHATCHAT IDD1526 Service or using TravelCard. [back to top]

Is there any monthly subscription to this service?
No. You will enjoy 14 days of free subscription when using the service and thereafter pay $1.00 subscription fee for 14 days extension to continue using service. You will receive a short message notification on the 13th day on whether to extend or cancel the service by 14th day midnight. [back to top]

How does it work?
To use the service, you will need an overseas mobile or fixed line number to receive calls when you are travelling to that country. You can activate the service and set the overseas number by sending a SMS. Our system will reply you with a Singapore Number, we call it Virtual Number for you to divert all Singapore mobile calls to prior to your departure from Singapore. If someone calls you now on your Singapore Mobile number, all calls will be call forwarded to the overseas number. Please refer to our demo page on the details for using the service. [back to top]

What do I need to do before leaving Singapore?
You will need to divert all voice call to virtual number by entering **21*Virtual Number# and press the call button on your Singapore mobile before departure from Singapore. Alternatively, use the call setting function on your mobile phone. [back to top]

How do I check virtual number and the overseas number setting?
You can SMS using your Singapore mobile with text content 'CF' and sent to +65 92295935. The system will reply back with your virtual number and the overseas number setting. [back to top]

How do I change the overseas number?
You can SMS using your Singapore mobile with text content 'CF OverseasNumber' and sent to +65 92295935. The system will update the overseas number but retaining the same virtual number assigned to you. [back to top]

How many virtual number can I request?
You can request up to 3 virtual number for a single account. [back to top]

What should I do when I return to Singapore?
Cancel all divert calls by entering #21# and press the call button on your Singapore mobile phone. Alternatively, cancel the divert using the call setting function on your mobile phone. [back to top]

How am I being charged for the calls?
You will be charged for the calls that are connected successfully to the overseas number. We will not charge you if the call is engaged or failed to be connected. However, if the call reached the overseas voice mail or announcement service, there may be charges incurred. (Please refer to here for call charges to different countries.) [back to top]

Would there be overseas local call or air-time charges when using this service?
Most of the fixed line number's incoming calls are free. If the overseas number is a mobile number, it may depend on the overseas mobile operator and the call plan of the mobile number. [back to top]

Will I still be able to receive SMS?
Yes, SMS will be receivable on your Singapore mobile number as calls diverting is only on voice call. [back to top]
