What is CHATCHAT IDD1526 service?
CHATCHAT IDD1526 allows subscriber to made budget IDD calls from registered fixed and mobile phone numbers. We offer this plan to cater to residential and consumers from all walks of life. [back to top]

How do I sign up the service?
You may use any of the following methods.
1)   Use our on-line subscription form to sign up.
2)   Call to our customer service hotline at 6838 1526 to ask for a copy of the subscription form. Fill it up and fax or mail back to us.

Is there any registration or monthly subscription fee if I subscribe to this service?
NO. The signing up for this service is FREE. You can register as many phone lines or mobile to this service as you like. There is NO monthly subscription fee involved as well. We only charge you on the calls that you have made. [back to top]

Do I need to pay a security deposit for subscribing to the service?
If you are a Singaporean/PR below 21 years old, or foreigner holding Employment Pass, S-pass, Work Permit, Student Pass or any other kind of Social Visit Pass holder to Singapore, we will require a minimum SG$100 security deposit from you. The deposit is refundable upon your termination of the service and after clearing all your outstanding balance. [back to top]

Will I be bonded with any contract by subscribing to your service?
NO. You may terminate this service at time with one-month advance written notification to us. [back to top]

Will the subscription to your service affect my others existing services on the phone line or mobile?
NO. Activation of our service on you lines is instantaneous and seamlessly. There is no installation required and will not affect any of your existing services. [back to top]

How do I use the service?
Just dial 1526 + Country Code + Area Code + Tel no. from the phone lines or mobile that subscribed to our service, you will be able to call most of the overseas countries instantly. Much similar to how you are using the IDD service from your phone line or mobile provider at the moment.E.g. If you want to place a call to Malaysia Tel. no. 03-2148 xxxx

How will I be billed?
We will bill you on monthly basis for the calls that you have made on previous month. All call details, which comprises of time, date, duration, number called and number calling from will be listed on the bills. Normally, bills will be sent out on the 10th of every month. You have two weeks to settle the bills before the due date. [back to top]

How do I pay the bills?
We provide a few methods for your convenience in payment.
1)   Cash - You may pay cash over the counters at the main branches of Singapore Post Office, or, alternatively pay at our office during office hours
(Mon-Friday: 9:00am~6:00pm).
We are located at 38 Jalan Pemimpin, #06-07 M38, Singapore 577178, Tel: 6838 1526.
* Please DO NOT send cash to us by Post. Please bring bills along when paying at Singapore Post Office.
2)   Cheque - You may send cheque directly to us with the cheque crossed and made payable to Shinetown Telecom (S) Pte Ltd.
* Please DO NOT send Cash or Uncrossed Cheque to us. Please write your account no at the back of the cheque and enclose your Payment Slip.
3)   NETS - You may pay over the counters at the main branches of Singapore Post Office, or, alternatively pay at S.A.M. machines located Island wide.
4)   GIRO - You may download a GIRO form from the web site. Fill it up and send the ORIGINAL COPY to our office address. Upon getting the approval from your bank, we will inform you and proceed to deduct the outstanding bills amount from your bank account automatically on 24th of every month.
5)   Credit Card - You may pay over the counters at the main branches of Singapore Post Office, at our office, or, authorized us to charge the outstanding bills amount to your credit card automatically on 24th of every month.
* We accept only VISA or Master card. Please indicate your credit card details on the subscription form if you want us to charge to your credit card automatically every month.
6)   On-line - You may make your payment on-line using your VISA or MASTER credit card.

How am I being charged for the calls?
You will only be charged for the calls that were connected successfully to the overseas countries. We will not charge you if the call is engaged or failed to be connected. However, when the call reached into overseas voice mail or announcement service, we may impose charges if the overseas operator is charging the call. [back to top]

Would I be charged for local calls at the same time when I use this service to call overseas?
Depending on your mobile plan, local charges are also dependent on which dialing method you are using. If holding onto a Free Incoming Mobile plan, you can actually use our Call Back service to avoid paying for Local Charges totally. However, if you are holding onto a normal mobile plan or calling from fixed line, then dialing normally is advisable and the local charges incurred will be as per your mobile service provider. Will I be charged for IDD calls by my phone line or mobile service provider if I am using your service?
NO. Whenever you dial 1526 + , your calls will be re-routed to us instantly by your phone line or mobile service provider. The calls will subsequently pass through our infrastructure to overseas countries and thus recorded and billed by our system. However, if you continue to dial your existing service providers' IDD prefix, e.g. 0xx, you will then be using their IDD services, and being billed for the calls by them. [back to top]

How much is the calling rates to overseas countries?
The calling rate for CHATCHAT IDD1526 offers very competitive calling rates to different overseas countries. You may find these calling rates at our web site or call our customer service at 6838 1526. [back to top]

Why is there an overdue charge on my bills?
Overdue charges will incur if the outstanding of the bills was not settled for more than two months. Please refer to terms and conditions under CHATCHAT IDD1526 service. [back to top]

Is there a credit limit on my account usage?
Generally, we impose a $200.00 credit limit on residential accounts. You may choose to increase your credit limit by paying more security deposit or pay immediately the current outstanding when reaching the credit limit. [back to top]

Can I make IDD calls using IDD1526 service from my Singapore mobile when I am in overseas with roaming service?
NO. CHATCHAT IDD1526 service can only be used in Singapore. You can however register your overseas fixed line or mobile number to trigger International CallBack to make calls using our service. Please refer here for more details. [back to top]
